About under thought

Let me explain ‘under thought’

Firstly:

I have been a chronic perfectionist and ‘over thinker’ for as long as I can remember. Researching, writing, wordsmithing, scrapping the whole thing and starting again – my usual writing process.

Perfectionist habits may have their place when writing academic texts or novels (other than NaNoWriMo), but are a distinct disadvantage for internet and social media purposes. Therefore ‘under thought’ is a conscious alternative to ‘over thought’.  I am limiting the time I spend on blog posts. If I’m 80% happy with the result, I publish, walk away, and forget about it. It’s working so far. I plan to share practical ways of dealing with the ever increasing demands on time & attention that have worked for me.

And also:

A fascination with what lies beneath.  What is under the way we think – beliefs, habits, values, and anything else that might be lurking….. When I find interesting, relevant things I’ll share.
